Creation of Garbage dump sites :-
So what if the government does not place dustbins in necessary locations. What if there is no proper man power to collect garbage from houses.Nothing stops us from taking our own initiatives. One such person from Chennai chooses a strategic position in the streets where he starts putting his garbage. Then another person follows suite. In a matter of two weeks ,the entire street throws its garbage in the same location.Hence we have got ourselves a garbage disposal place without the help of the government. So we continue this for years. The rains also play their part .The whole waste disposal place becomes a total unrepairable mess. The once garbage disposal place has now become a deterrent to all the people who cross the street, the people living near by ,and the shops near by. So one more person takes an initiative and forms a group and gets petitions signed from all the people in the streets asking the government to clean the place. Now,if everything goes good and if there is an election coming up ,this petition might please the government to look into what the issue is, let alone repairing it.
We Chennaites are no short of initiatives. But what if the initiatives are channelled in the right way. What if we dispose our wastes in a proper way. What if we take action and consult with our admins to maintain a proper waste disposal cycle instead of forming our own waste disposal site in the common area which will eventually make our own neighbourhood unlivable?

This post is a part the tablog - CBC Tablog II .CBC stands for Chennai Bloggers club,a group of bloggers connected by a common link-Chennai.The tag was passed to me by Sivaranjini - an ever enthusiastic blogger who blogs at Passionate Soul.I in turn pass it to Gokulane Ravi .
What the fuck!
Why the fuck do people use fuck frequently,
Is it fucking awesome to use fuck?
Does using fuck ,make you feel fucking sophisticated?
The fucking awful word has now become a fucking mantra.
Does repeating the word give the fucking expereince?
I know fucking feels better than hell.
But what the hell sounds more decent than what the fuck.
Fucking is now become the fucking prefix of all the adjectives,
Please fucking calculate the number of times in a day you use fuck
Which is directly proportional to how fucking damaged you are.
Say all the fuck you want
But don't feel sad when your kid
Asks you to shut your fuck up!!

Hey DNA,
I'm fine here. How are you doing inside?
Are your strands intact.?
Its simply amazing how you control me with just four letters.
Its all amazing how you pass chemical and electrical signals.
Because all these forms of communications were only recently invented.
May be you are a freaking genius.
But you are complex.you are a mess.
Twisted and coiled many folds.
Where do you even start from
Do you even know your head and tail.
Do you know how hard it was to predict your structure.
All these aspects of yours make you analogous to god.
Except for the fact that you can be isolated and studied.

You dividing yourself, makes me think you are a homosexual.
But you got the curves and at times you are a drama queen.
Just because some letters are missing you turn a man into woman and a living man dead and so on.
This makes me think that your a women. No wonder all non living wonders are purported to be women.
Whatever you are.just be a little considerate .

Laymen believe you pass on looks,
Scientist believe you pass information to the cells.
Then please teach all the cells the concept called family planning.
I don't want a cancer just because you make them horny.
And whenever you come in contact with a viral DNA or any other life form ready to integrate
For god's sake, use protection.
Last thing I want is a viral infection for your pleasure.
They cut you, play jigsaw with those pieces ,stick those pieces to other random DNA s
Believe me, it all costs a fortune.
So please log on to science direct and please review all the papers published and please give me the truth about you.
If you can ,send me images and videos of how you do things.
I am a management aspirant.I am from a state owned university.I always wanted myself to be in one of the ivy league colleges. I couldn't get into the IITs for my engineering. But I decided to get into the IIMs or equally good institution for my management education. Then I collected all the information about coaching institutes and common admission test and then joined one of the reputed coaching institutes. I attended coaching classes regularly.Made good progress.Scored 94+ percentile in my mocks. Finally on the day I failed to execute the test well and I got a mere 82 percentile.I took this as a sign to prepare harder and wait for one more year to improve my profile and aptitude.(Hope it pays off well). If one has to bell the cat,one has to take lots of mock tests and never be complacent with ones score. In addition to learning wordlists, one should develop the habit of reading.Reading the newspaper would be mandatory Quantitative aptitude is no big problem when practiced systematically. In addition ,keep a check on your graduation percentage as it plays major role in getting into an IIM.

Is joining a coaching institute necessary?
yes,it is necessary as it may expose you to a wide range of tests and tricks.TIME,IMS and CL are doing a good job.

how much time per day should one put?
*It depends on the aptitude level and time range .If one is preparing for a one year period 2 hrs per day+plus newspaper reading and learning 10 words a day would suffice.
*If one is preparing for a six month period 4 hrs a day+plus newspaper reading+plus wordlists would be required.
*concentrating equally on both sections (quant and verbal) is neccessary.

If all preparations and execution goes well and profile is attractive, one sure has a better shot at getting into an IIM or equally good colleges.
but you're the dream of a hemisphere.
people hit you down.
you rise up.
people bash you against the wall.
you come back to them.
spinners lick you hard.
pacers rub you hard until their groins are hot
still you go bouncing,swinging,turning
until the batsmen tear your stitches apart.
but you still occupy the shelf as a signed memoir.
people pump you,
they puncture you,
they stitch you up without anaesthesia
but you still get happily kicked.
are you here a metaphor for struggle?
An apple a day keeps doctor away. But how can a apple alone keep a doctor away? Are those doctors fools to suggest us medicines instead of prescribing an apple? If apple alone can be a medicine, every one can be a doctor. But ironically the proverb goes like this "an apple a day keeps doctor away". Of course apple has vitamin c contents, phenolic contents which digests cholesterol ,acts on tooth decays and has substances acting against Alzheimer's disease. Then the proverb should go like this "an apple a day keeps the dentist, neurologist and fat doctor away".But to keep all the doctors away is too much to ask from an apple. How can a patient with cancer thwart it by eating an apple every day?

OK lets tone down the meaning a little.Lets assume that the apple a day can keep doctor away mean that an apple a day makes the diet balanced. But it also doesn't make sense too.How come single serving of a fruit complete a diet when we need carbohydrates, proteins, fats(which are particularly low in fruits)minerals, all vitamins in the particular amount to have a balanced diet.Even then the proverb should have gone like this an apple plus the complementary foods to balance the diet can keep the doctor away".Again going back to the original and true meaning.A balanced diet is very much required as food is the best medicine if had in the right amounts. But what about the diseases caused by ,genetic disorders, accidents. How can a apple or even a balanced diet keep the doctor away in those things. Then the proverb should go like this "an apple plus the complementary foods to balance the diet can keep the doctor away except for incidences of genetic disorders, accidents,or hygienic disorders beyond the control of the immune system"

But there is another proverb."live and let live".According to this proverb every one should get their chance to live and prosper.Assuming the apple proverb is true ,where will the doctor go for their living.Over the years doctors have made miracles, found life saving ,life producing protocols. They are next to god.But how do we get the heart to ditch our gods for a serving of fruit. This is totally unacceptable.

what if the proverb maker was gadget freak.what if he had foreseen the invention of Apple products. No it can't be it.apple products are in no way going to keep the doctor away. They have many chances of making their users obese and fall sick to many other diseases. So i rule out this possibility.

Economically speaking apple is a costly fruit. There are millions of people who are even below the Rs 32 per day cutoff. How can they afford an apple every day. They cant afford the medical expenses due to the diseases which follow. Shouldn't the apple be replaced with a affordable fruit like banana or tomato.?What will vendors of other fruits do when all people are after apple?#just asking mother nature.

I am not here to make any point. This was just a comical analysis of a proverb.Last thing I want is an apple vendor abusing me in my blog. But I welcome accolades and praises from doctors for me taking up their cause. And i also advise all the proverb makers not to exaggerate a proverb just for sounding precise because there are people who take it as it is!!:)
My vision for women in Chennai!!

Let me start with some fun things :

-A woman who doesn't hit his brother and start crying .

-A woman who accepts defeat in a board game.

-A woman who shops in ten minutes.

-A woman who doesn't flatter her father and winning him from his brother.

-A woman who does watch films for its artistic value rather than for the khans in it.

-A woman who does not like vampires.

-A woman who buys a diamond ring for her fiance.

Wouldn't all this be a sight!!

The three most influential women in my life:

My mother for sure has been the most influential person from day 1 of my life. She decided my body temperature. She decided my school. She decided my wardrobe.Helped me crack school.Gave me the maturity I need to take my decisions and left me alone(freedom). The judicious decisions she takes during crisis, calmness with which she handles situations, the anger she shows when people are wrong, the politeness with which she handles people at work and ultimately her art of prioritizing-the way she juggles family and work striking perfect balance are perfect examples of how one should live her life. With all these lessons from her I'm pretty sure I'll be able to survive even the white house pressure like a piece of chocolate.

Long time back,my baby sister and I were in the officially allowed period for innocent physical fights.

Even with my menacingly strong arms and her surprisingly tiny stature she never used to get threatened when I called her for a combat for the ultimate right to the remote.I don't know if its her moral will or my father's support. Its the same till now.Never does she succumb to pressure.

After my grandfather left,in the middle of a family crisis regarding properties, the intelligence, sagaciousness, and diplomacy my grandmother practiced to restore peace in the family could as well be a lesson for an Indian diplomat to Pakistan.

Growing up in the presence of all these women has never given me a chance to see women even a toad less than men.Never has my mother asked me to give up something for my sister just because she is a girl.My father always called my sister vada poda like a boy. This upbringing of me has always made me raise my hand against those reservation made for women considering they are the weaker sex.In bus ,when a male gives a seat to a woman out of respect, the man has the upper hand. But when the female refuses it and stands on her allocated side , equality is restored. When women stay smug for 33%,its weakness.but when they go fighting for the 100% on their own, that is equality.I accept .All these reservations are aimed to up-bring the lives of women in the lower echelons of society.I am not saying this should happen now. These are just my vision for the future. Its also time they hit the gym and martial art classes not expecting another man to save her at times of danger during her fun time with night!I envision a society which does not consider women of the age group 18 to 24 as a burden and let them explore the world after their graduation and let them decide when to settle down and just not tie them up with some one just because they have reached twenty five. I envision a society where the costs of marriage is equally split between the families of the stake holders.I envision a society where the embarrassment of teenage girls in the name of puberty functions are illegal.

As far as academics and art is concerned,I have not seen as many mechanical engineers, marine engineers ,civil engineers, visual-effects creators, directors, cinematographers in women as I have seen IT professionals, doctors,HR personnel, beauticians, nutritionist, writers. Its time for women to cut all those ropes that hampers them pursuing certain fields of art and science.Honestly speaking, I can't think of a field in which women can't improve except for the field where women are used as commodities.

Lets not dominate or try to dominate!!lets co-exist with our equals.!!!!
Why Sheldon Lee Cooper would prefer Chennai!!(Read it in sheldon's voice)

Chennai’s location at 80.27 E and 13.0810 N makes it a thermally favourable place to live. The summer at 35 degree centigrade is not very unbearable and the winter at 20 degree centigrade is a pleasant season for a hot beverage, and one doesn't need to search for his jacket before leaving a place as in Pasadena. Its adjacent location to the sea ensures accessibility to the right levels of the rain bearing winds and the chances of the raining water engulfing the city is pretty low. Even if the drainage fails and the rain water stagnates on the roads, the sun, which shines at a bearable 32 degree centigrade average, evaporates all the water clearing the roads of water in a jiffy.

The potholes in the roads made by the rainwater in addition to numerous oddly placed speed breakers, transforms the bus travel into a fun ride at the theme park saving one the cost of a monthly trip to the amusement park. And with all the shakes and jumps one might lose enough calories freeing one from the twenty minutes of cardio. Plus the travelers in the Bus, engage in casual talk with topics ranging from politics to science which makes the ride worthwhile and also if the bus is crowded enough, you might get a free full body massage.

One of the best things I like about the native culture of Tamil Nadu is that they avoid contaminating each other’s hand through handshakes. Instead, they follow a hygienic process of welcoming people by joining their own hands. And when I visit their place, they welcome me with full heart and mouth and they offer me a cup of hot coffee. And fascinatingly, when they visit my place, they bring the fruits and sweets I like, as a gift. They call this practice ‘Viruthombal’ which is quite fitting for someone of my importance. Most people even make sure the Americans feel at home by pretending to be Americans and they even manage to pull it off as good as us the westerners! The food here is unbearably spicy and what’s worse is that they are mouth watering and irresistible. Especially the Masala Dosa made of fermented rice flour with mashed potatoes in the middle which are served along with sambar and the delicious chutney. When one's stomach burns with spice other world cuisines are just minutes away.

The elders of the family here are well aware of the Placebo effect .They tie a piece of thread around the wrist of the children of the family ,or hang dollars of God or symbols of god around the neck, or wear streaks of ashes on the forehead which are believed to instate confidence, power , courage and luck.

The chennaites have strong acoustic capabilities. The sounds they make with their mouth is amusing and at times funny. They insert their thumb and index finger inside their mouth producing a sound similar to a whistle blown by traffic men. I usually hear it whenever I hear the word ‘Rajinikanth’ and ‘Dhoni’.I have seen men and women shouting with their hands hitting their mouth periodically producing a crazy sound. One day ,an auto driver called me ‘annaathe’ .they also call you with sweet sounding names such as ‘ayya’ ,’prabhu’ and ‘pichapodu’.The politicians here are very animated and fun loving people adding the name of a ferocious animal or dynamic thing before their names such as ‘Tiger kumar’,’jumbo Ramalingam’ and ‘Rocket Raja’.But nothing can match the ‘infinite Sheldon’.

Hence the chances of getting shot by a random guy in schools, malls, and theatres are very low.

Detective D is a fictional character characterized to be a self-proclaimed ,detective- next door ,solving all cases that came under his jurisdiction involving stolen biscuits, broken glass panes, scribbling on the wall ,and other crazy problems of the locality of the city, Dhirma , with ease , acumen and insight that can be compared to the detectives who occupy the higher echelons in police.

Swaminathan , Aranganathan , and Nathan were blood brothers born to Pattabinathan,a retired post master of the city Dhirma. Swaminathan and all his brothers were unmarried, aging between 28 and 35 with Nathan being the eldest and Aranganthan being the youngest. All three of them loved their father so much that they always fought among themselves for keeping Pattabinathan with them which led to a life long rivalry.Hence the three brothers after holding many levels of talks came into a consensus that each brother will get to keep their father for one month. After many years while Mr.Pattabinathan was in Swaminathan's house in his death bed he gave his son a polythene bag which he took from his iron chest and gave it to his son and uttered his last words. The bag had the name Daily Fresh printed on it with a loaf of bread as it logo.Daily fresh was a grocery store where most of People of Dhirma bought their daily needs from.

After three days of his fathers death Mr.Swaminathan called in Detective-D at his office with a name board saying "Detective -D-offering criminal solutions"

"hello Mr.D .My name is Swaminathan.I heard about your skills. Now I have a scenario that might challenge you a bit."

"First of all Mr.Swaminathan take your seat .Last week I solved the case of disputed ownership of a puppy within one day.So relax. At Mr.D's all mysteries will be solved with ease.Would you like a coke ?"

"No,Mr. D,I'm not in mood for a coke.although i may not say a no for a beer but i am not insisting you to bring me one"

"so you want it or not?..oh leave it aside!!

So Mr.Swaminathan what are the stakes involved in the scenario"

"Its the packet of biscuits .Its the packets which my father gave it to me when he died.It was the last packet he gave me.It was one of my proud possessions which I had for only three days.I was planning it to put in a airtight container and preserve it for the rest of my life "stammered Swaminathan with a hint of tear coming across the corners of his eyes.

"Oh please Mr.Swaminathan. Ill handle it.Can you please elaborate me on the scenario"

"My father gave me a bag which had a box of my favorite biscuits and the bill of the product .now the

box is not there on the cupboard where i had placed it.i guess some one has stolen it"

"Mr.Swaminathan ,are you sure no one ate it.Because its a packet of biscuits .more often than not people would like to eat if they see it."

"Im pretty sure I didn't eat it.and I am the only person who live in my house and perhaps the biscuit was placed in my cupboard. No visitors or relatives of my house have access to my personal cupboard.I am sure it was a planned event.Someone who don't want the biscuits to be with me have done this thing "

"Do u suspect anyone??"

"yes I suspect my brothers.I and my brothers Aranganathan and Nathan were hostile to each other. One common thing we loved most was our father. So I suspect they might have taken the biscuits.but I am not sure.It might be anyone and I don't want my brothers to know that I suspect them.I don't want make our relations more worse."

"So who were in your house in between the time when you saw the biscuit box last time and when the box was stolen."

" My brothers were there and other relatives were there for the funeral of my father but no one are allowed inside my room though."

"Swaminathan you should understand the fact that thieves don't ask your permission to steal the box of biscuits. You arrange a get together on Tuesday in your house calling all your brothers and relatives who were there for the funeral of your father so that I get to examine their characteristics and keep a lot of biscuits for the get together and don't let them know that I am a detective."

TUESDAY-

"hey welcome MR.B..these are my siblings Aranganathan and Nathan. "

"he is Mr.B a private detec......no no a private business man"said Swaminathan as Detective-D and the brothers exchanged pleasantries.

"Swaminathan you almost screwed things up.and meanwhile whats up with the name B.my name is D."inquired detective D pulling Swaminathan to one side

"No,No .I did'nt want them to find you are a detective.so there came the idea of B"

"Nice work Swaminthan"detective-d told

"Hey Mr.Swaminathan.give me the address of your brothers so that i could meet them at their residence "

"oh sure Mr.D.here you go"

After Two Days..

Mr.D called swaminathan"I guess I have zeroed in on the criminal .I'll let you know the proceedings tomorrow in the presence of your brother Aranganathan and Nathan..

The Next day

Detective-D and three brothers arrived at the scene.By now all the three brothers came to know that Mr.B was actually the famous local detective Mr.D.

"Hello Nathan brothers.I guess all three of you don't like biscuits.am I right? I found it during the party when there was loads of biscuit on the party you three people went for the crunchy Muruku. That was my first observation. My visit to Mr.Aranganathans bungalow made things pretty clear. The mistake was throwing the empty box at a garbage heap back of his home which I found when I dug into the heap. But I wanted to confirm if the box was stolen or was it the box you bought. So I went to Daily fresh.Checked your grocery store list for the previous months there was no single box of biscuit ordered or purchased."

"It was you who stole the box of biscuits father gave me"lunged Mr.swaminathan as scenario turned bitter with Mr.Aranganathans image hitting a low.

"Im sorry Swami.I loved Father so much that I wanted to eat the last biscuits he gave..I also wished he died in my place so that i could have got the biscuits.so it was me who came to your room on the night of the funeral "apologized Aranganathan with his face down.

"Wait Mr.Swaminathan, the story is not yet over."Mr.D raised his voice leaving everyone on the edge of their seats.

"I wanted to conform that the empty biscuit box that was lying down was the one which was bought by your father.so I crosschecked with the grocery store database system where the bar code on the empty box showed that the person who bought the biscuit was to my surprise Mr.Nathan.It was Nathan who replaced the Father's biscuit box with the one he bought from the grocery store and Mr.Aranganathan thought it was the original one bought by his father and he ate it.The one nice thing is that the biscuit your father brought is still there at Mr.Nathan's house.Am i right .???Or you ate it??

"don't tell me you ate it??please"swaminathan was anxious

"no its still with me "Nathan quoted with a lowered tone.

"Shame on you guys,I never knew that you people could get so low.return the biscuits within today evening"said swaminathan as he was about to leave the discussion room.

"Wait Mr.Swaminathan.there is no reason for you to get irritated as you were the prime reason for this bitter situation"asserted detective-D

India and Indians - Both being a rising brand hit the headlines quite often at the world stage but for different reasons though. We read a newspaper where India hits the headline for coal scam reporting a loss of about 10 lakh crores. In the science and business pages we see an Indian appointed CEO of a international investment bank or an Indian inventing a protocol to produce some drug or process or an Indian receiving the White house national medal for economics. In the next page we see the report of a survey reporting the number of deaths due to poor hygiene and India topping the list. There can't be cited a better example than the the last page depicting Indians excelling and India in a pitiful state.

why can't we maintain our own country. ?the reason always cited is lack of awareness and education. .Everyday i see people spitting on the roads, throwing wrappers on street, peeing on the walls. one such incident

mother: Don't dirty your hands.don't pick up things on the road.
son:OK

The same mom changes the diaper of her younger child and throws it on the road. the mother who teaches personal cleanliness and cleanliness at home to her kid sets a bad example to her kid in maintaining public hygiene. I agree .charity and all habits should start at home.but it shouldn't end there.

A complete change in the cleanliness profile is tough. It took me eighteen years to change .I was a normal citizen till i got inspired by a friend of mine who never used to drop a piece of paper on the ground and used to collect the juice cups from everyone preventing them from dropping it down. Her actions might not change the existing conditions but its a seed to bring about a catastrophic change to the cleanliness profile.

Our Government has the responsibility of inspiring people on a large scale to have a cleaner environment.when there are dustbins placed every 50 meters , mobile restrooms located on every streets and surveilling officers and cameras in position coupled with high fines , public messiness will decrease considerably..These infrastructure developments are much needed for the time being more than laptops and television sets provided by the government. These might cost the government a fortune but considering the returns it must be considered a infrastructure investment.

Return on investments:
-a better living place.
-improved tourism.
-less number of endemics.
-increase in cleanliness index at world stage.a reason which might lift the heads of Indians imparting a pride in them.

Thereof ,only the coordination of authorities and people could only make India a better place to live in where one doesn't have to see other man peeing publicly.

Leaning tower of Pisa is a Bell tower of the cathedral of the city
Pisa. It’s one of the world wonders for the 55 meter tall building is leaning
with an angle of 3.99 degree to the ground. The reason cited for the leaning of
the tower was faulty construction, planning and poor soil choosing. The real
reason would have been unknown to everyone if I hadn't attained enlightenment
which happened when I was sitting on the top of the tank starring at a tree on
which the video of the reason behind the tilt was played. Let me take
this platform to tell you the truth. Many people think Pisa is an example of
bad architecture. But it isn’t true. That’s what Thesis the Roman god of
creation was trying to tell in that videos that he addressed to me.

The tower's construction lasted for about 200 years starting on
1172 AD interrupted by many wars. By 1178 AD the tower began to tilt. The
reason behind the tilt was the war between the super heroes and super villains
named the ‘Super battle’. Bell tower considered sacred by Christians was an
disturbing thing for the dark forces. They wanted the tower to be destroyed. So
the Dark Lord sent his team of villains comprising Skeletor, Frieza ,Mojo
Jojo, Brainiac , and Atlas to destroy the Bell tower. The super hero team
comprised of Superman, Captain Planet ,Power puff girls,Goku ,He-man. All
people who had enrolled for the war were present near the battle field next to
the bell tower. All the super heroes and villains were hanging on the air
except for He-man who never seemed to leave his tiger even if he had a
sophisticated jet plane. King Kai presided over the war. Ground rules were clearly
laid before

1) No one is supposed to use their best moves until the end of the
scene.

2) till then everyone are supposed to be defending themselves.

Everyone started fighting
and defending themselves. There was Goku shouting ‘kamaya maya’ with a flash of
neon light coming through is hands which was reciprocated by Freiza with
sodium vapor light coming through his index finger. And He-man was on a sword fight
with skeletor. Captain planet was flying around forming a shield around the tower. Mojo
Jojo was busy hitting on the three girls which was followed by fighting with them
with one of the high five guns he invented in the lab which as usual ended with
the girls punching his chin from under with Mojo Jojo going flying thrashing on
the ground forming a dent on the ground. Brainiac was doing his part fighting
with superman giving him a tough time.

After all the war ,Goku was creating the spirit bomb collecting
all the energy from nature and balancing it over his head and directed it
towards the super villains.Freiza with all his powers reflected it back towards
the super hero team. It was now fast moving towards the super hero team like a
boomerang .All the heroes moved from its way.Now it was moving towards the
tower of Pisa. The super villains on
seeing that considered their job done and left their places immediately. But
superman flew towards the tower of Pisa and kicked he tower with all his power
so that tower moved from the way of the spirit bomb and there was another super
hero whose face was hid with a cloth and he had cloth tied to his head and a small
sword on his belt. He was the super hero who caught the tower from the other
side after superman kicked it. There was no clue of how his face looked. He looked
very lean. But he managed to support the entire tower with his single hand. Mean
while super man went back to his planet to bring the invisible mountain namely ‘Kryptoganga’
to Earth. The super heroes used the invisible mountain’s rocks to build two supporting
pillars so that the tower Pisa remains supported in its tilt. It took them only
two minutes to build the supporting pillars.Till now not even a clue of the pillars were known. They made the pillars invisible so that the beauty of the building is not compromised. They are super heroes for no reasons.

I went to the head man’s house. It was a large hut built of bamboo .There were some 20 men and
women employed to assist his wife and him in house hold chores. The floors were
made of cow dung .I was asked to stay in a room along with the workers. I was
so badly hurt that I slept within seconds after I lay down.

Next day early in the morning I was taken to kings durbar

‘King Bharathan,??You told Rama was your king??’

‘No. He was sent to forest for a period of fourteen years by
one of the wives of his father Dasarathar.’

Dasarathar, Rama, Bharathan ,Ayodhya!! All four connected. I
started to recognize where I was. I was in Ramayana the story which I had heard
for thousand times from my grandparents. Now i realized that I was in the past .I
asked the head mans daughter about the kingdom and lord Rama .Her name was Vasana.
The woman was the most beautiful women I have ever seen both in the past and
present(both in the past and present-this phrase work really good here).Even
lions and tigers would like to sit on her lap and play. She made Ramayana more interesting than it was.I spent a week with her hearing
to stories of lord Rama and then confirmed that I was in Ramayana period .I
guessed by then Sita would have been kidnapped by Ravana the demon who ruled Lanka.I wanted to help Lord Rama as I knew the future of what is gonna happen.
I went in search of them in the forest along with the head man’s daughter who
came along with me after I talked to her father and told him about the
potential dangers Rama and Sita would anticipate if I was not guided by his
daughter to lord Rama’s camp at the right time.On the way there was something
going between me and Vasana. We constantly exchanged smiles and eye
contacts.she felt secured in my company and I never felt the time going when
she was beside me .We reached the camp in another two months.

I went to the camp. I met lord Rama. It was divine. One gets
infected with peace and enlightenment on seeing him. He was worried by Sita’s absence .I told lord
Rama that I can help him.I told him about how I came from the future and what
is gonna happen next. He believed me. Lord Hanuman was already prepared to go
in search of Sita to Lanka through air. With the permission of lord Rama I went
along lord hanuman on his back to Lanka .We met
Sita Devi under a tree guarded by
evil women guards who were ordered to be nice to Sita by Ravana who loved Sita
and asked her marry to him .We saw Sita Devi sitting with her face down ,and
brave heart confident of Lord Rama coming and saving her. I and lord hanuman
met Sita Devi.I took pictures of Sita Devi in my galaxy tab and Sita Devi gave
me a souvenir and asked me to give it to Lord Rama.

We reached India back. I showed the pic of Sita Devi and
gave Lord Rama the souvenir .Lord Rama couldn’t control his tears while seeing
the pic. He was so angry on Ravana on seeing Sita’s state. So a war was
declared between Ravana and lord Rama .A bridge was built between India and
Lanka through which lord Ramas troop of Vanaras went into Lanka.

the battle but some how I lost patience and I wanted to be back with Vasana and
so I gave lord Rama a rocket launcher which I had as a self defence against sea
pirates to lord Rama .When Ravana was unarmed lord Rama aimed at Ravana's

Not all childhood incidents do we remember except a certain things which get stuck in our memory. Those are the moments of extreme glory and these scenes keep on flashing each and every day leading to uncontrolled release of Adrenalin making us feel happy and gives us a urge to redo the action in a better way and often the thought is accompanied by a hero introduction back ground score.Awesome feel and the following is one such incident.

The story dates back to 2002 to being a fifth standard kid wearing half trousers ,a neatly pressed shirt tucked into the shorts ,a tightly worn belt,a badge pinned to my pocket , a square folded hanky in the pocket and hair nicely oiled and combed with a partition on the side. Those were sane times when i felt like wishing teachers good morning rather than wanting to ridicule them.I was a dynamic kid who wanted to excel in studies as well as sports. But the latter never happened.I was constantly the topper of my class in studies but wasn't the topper in sports which I sucked so badly. But I never stopped playing. They were a good time pass.Every day after school I used to play basket ball till 6 in the evening .I used to be the last kid to leave school rather if I leave school early I ll have to start studying early. So I preferred basketball though i sucked at it.I had good technique but never performed well in games .May be due to fear.

Sports day season arrived characterized by free periods ,drill and march past practice. All students were divided among four houses namely Nehru ,Tagore,Bharathi and Gandhi and I was placed in Nehru house. All fifth standard and sixth standard guys were under sub junior category.Basketball house match selection took place. Not many fifth standards were selected . Watching me staying for practice all day they took me as substitute inside the team.that made me very happy.Being in a house team though not a big deal meant so much to me that I practised so hard even though I wasn't in the main five.

The day came.schedule of matches for the day:

Gandhi vs Tagore ---------->winner

vs

Nehru vs bharati ---------->winner

The day was very hot with the sun straight over our head.We had no jerseys nor Reebok shoes.every one played with our house T-shirts on and we wore our white canvases for the game.they never provided us with glucose or juice.we were asked to bring our own water bottles.there was no stadium around the court.all the students were asked to sit on the sand outside the court.we had no techniques like Jordan or Johnson.but we could pass, dribble and shoot the ball.excepting the above, our match could be compared with those international matches between LA lakers and Dallas..:P

First match was between Gandhi and Tagore.Tagore, clearly the strongest team out of the lot emerged winners of the first game.the next match was between Nehru and Bharati.Neither of us were strong .We both were mediocre teams.First match went very close and my house was leading till the third quarter but bharati equalled with our scores by shooting two continuous three pointers and the momentum shifted. Then our house captain called for a time out to cut the momentum going and then the play started after two minutes and Nehru team were on song and emerged winners by four points.Close game it was.

FINALS:NEHRU VS TAGORE

After a half hour break the finals took place. We were no match to the expertise of Tagore. We feared. We never showed it out.The match started.I was still a substitute.Captains stood in the centre court for the jump ball(the way basket ball games used to start). From that minute to the end of the first quarter Tagore house were thrashing us.At the end of the first quarter my team mate named Prashanth kicked the ball out of frustration which was a technical violation and was a disrespect to the game that he was barred from playing the next three quarters. So i was sent in.I was nervous and uncomfortable.I was happy being a substitute encouraging my team mates.I had no other choice than to play.Second quarter started.ball was in the hands of Tagore house.I blocked one of their pass and got the ball back to our house which boosted my confidence a little bit.We converted the ball to a two pointer. At the end of the second quarter when we were in Tagore's base my captain passed the ball to me.There was no one to block me.I was free.I aimed the board and shot the ball.It went in surprisingly.I was awestruck and so were every one.The second quarter was over.we were ten points lagging behind Tagore. For the first time I felt proud before my friends and classmates for playing basketball. My confidence increased exponentially.

10.9.8.7 I went passed the centre court using one of my best moves and I was near the three pointer line with 5 seconds remaining.

Nehru house won.!!we won..all our team mates were jumping in joy.they were running towards me.We high fived. The match was watched by every one including my classmates and principal.every one congratulated. It was one proud moment for me who never excelled in a sport I loved. This made me a confident guy.And after this incident I was the first guy to be picked in school team in the sub junior category. The circumstance brought the best in me.The look people had when they saw me after the last shot made me over whelmed.I have no words to explain it.I still remember those looks.Though it was only a inter house match I always compared my last minute shot to Lance Klusner's last ball six which won his team over Newzealand in March 1999.The news of the win faded within one or two hours. But I felt like a hero for the next whole month.Crazy times those were. But still this remain one of the best moments in my life!!!!
ants are tiny ,harmless, disciplined ,extremely talented (having the ability of foreseeing earthquake)simple creatures whom i have constantly observed and admired!!with this amount of discipline and a insight of future they should be given the sixth sense organism status according to my opinion.:p

qualities of ant i admire and the lessons i learn from ants:-

1)their ability to work in a organised way whatever the location be ,whatever the conditions whether its monsoon or dry or famine conditions i never see them deviating from the line they are moving in. i feel humans should always follow the same.whatever the conditions are ,one should stick to their disciplines and basics to go far in their careers.

2)how much ever the food is less or more the ants of the same colony take their food only to their nest and then share among themselves.no greediness..if greediness is a part of sixth sense i would say ants have well filtered senses enough for them to live their life the right way.
3)they can detect minute amount of food in all forms solid ,liquid.i drop food in my table the ants are there.i drop a food in the hall ants are there!if the sugar bottles are lightly open ants are there!if food is kept in the terrace ants are there!i never see any signs of ant until a food spillage happens and bam the ants are there..!THIS MAKES ME THINK THAT ANTS EMANATE FROM THE SPOT RATHER THAN MOVING TO THE SPOT!!SUCH IS THEIR SPEED AND WORK MAN SHIP.awesome insects.they don't leave the least of opportunities.it might be one grain of rice for man but its a full day meal for them..and they work very hard to earn them.
4)they are harmless creatures until we harm them.they never get into any ones business until they are being disturbed which is a noble quality.
5)"god helps hard working people".this is true in the case of ants.owing to their gentleness and hard working nature god has made them a very desirable insect unlike the cockroaches lizards and other flies.i don't often see them being killed by people and the surprise is even girls dont fear them.

ants are present at all land parts.minute there is a spillage the forces sense and immediately cleans them up!only way to prevent the ants is to put some sugar outside your house!!ants are the most awesome insects on earth.

an experiment to find how ants work.chose a place.make sure there aren't any ants in the vicinity..drop a little of sugar or milk or something.switch on the stop clock and remain in that place for a long time.if the ants come for the sugar they aren't afraid of human presence.and if the ants aren't there you pls leave the room and with the stop clock on and then after a while check for results.and then after this is done.then spill a drop of milk or tea on your table in the same room as the previous experimentand now trace the location of the ants' nest they are coming from.if the location of the nests are different they have only one nest per room or if the locations are different we should find how many locations they have using integration!!i haven't tried this yet..please try this and please report your results!!

if you are also a person who admire ants drop in your views!i would love to read comments about my posts !!

Ever since I learnt about the seven continents and hundred and ninety odd countries in it, I always wondered why all these continents have to be separated and again why all these countries should be in turn divided into states.?on what basis are they decided?on what basis is the land area decided?who made the boundaries??who divided the world??who had the right to do it??what are the advantages of doing it??what are the disadvantages of doing it??who invented barter system??what brought money into play??
what made people to look for gold ??why was gold considered precious when its usage is not more than ornaments??why all ornamental stones are more precious than iron and aluminum which have vast usage??who invented technology?why dint people prefer a simple life??why were certain people greedy??the outcome of technology??why were wars fought??

People say countries were divided based on the culture and the ethnic groups that lived there..Ok let them be separated based on culture and ethnic groups for adminstartive purpose..But they should be governed under single name "the world".not in the name of countries.by this the words war, weapons, missiles, poverty, unemployment, overpopulation, will never have any meaning!all the natural wealth can be shared with each other for free.there will be equal distribution of wealth..the concept of rich and poor countries will die.all people get all benefits and medical aids.the world will be free of war.we will not need any visas or passports to visit distant places.no more indians,ausralians,americans..we all become global citizens!!

i hope all the world leaders read this corner and get insight!!when i can think about this..why dont leaders think!!
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14677544116590102176noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6622854008446604495.post-70420552260400609672011-12-01T21:02:00.001+05:302011-12-01T21:39:42.407+05:30Being sick can be quite awesome!!

Being sick might make us tired, make us sleep the whole day, make our bodies ache, make our heads pain, dehydrate our bodies make our throats ache ,make us vomit, make us feel dizzy but it also has its share in attention seeking.all of a sudden u become a hit in your surroundings..constant pampering by mother, who makes the food you can digest, father who takes you to a doctor ,sister who brings water for your tablets,,friends who constantly enquire about your health, and family members who flood the phone with calls enquiring about your health and suggesting some drugs and food, inbox filled with take care messages and especially during exams being sick is an excellent and well accepted excuse for not doing well.so yeah!!being sick is quite awesome where the attention covers for its physical manifestations.

PS:the sickness mentioned above is small kind of sickness like fever, cold.not sickness like TB,cholera or fractures where you wont be conscious enough to feel the awesomeness.so don't go and break your bones to feel it!!

It was just another interesting notorious incident that happened in my college life .!

It happened on a Thursday,a month back. We were given a two day respite on account of our college cultural fest .Usually the cultural nights are the best part of our fest and the mornings were a little draggy and unlike other mates of my class who preferred to stay at their rooms searching for their pillows and headsets we a group of five girls and boys were on a expedition to explore wild life.We planned on going to vandaloor zoo..It might sound naive for a set of twenty year olds to visit the zoo which was common field trip spot for the primary school kids.We didn't have any other choice.Boring movies, not heavy enough pockets to go for a lunch and persuasion by two of my friends made us take this option .

By 12 in the noon we got into a bus.Vandaloor zoo also known as Arignar Anna Zoological Park was located on a area of 1500 acres at Tambaram in Chennai visited mostly by school children , huddling couples ,college students with their friends, and family. .We reached the zoo in the next one hour.

We being adults, you people would expect us to get into wildlife park and start visiting the animals..but my friends didn't do that. You people wouldn't believe me.They got hold of swings at the entrance of the park meant for children below 10 years and started swinging on it and by the time they finished it was 1:30 and we started our sight seeing. We rented cycles for each of us and started our expedition. We visited most animals ,birds ,snakes in the limited time we had.The most interesting of the animals was the bear which was busy gaping at the sky wondering some one would throw a piece of meat from the sky while scratching and rubbing with pawed fingers its fur coated tummy constantly .We missed the lion safari as it was too late. And after all the visiting by some five we winded up everything and we took a u turn and were heading towards the entrance to return our cycles.

While returning back to the entrance to return our cycles, I and my friend harinath were leading the group of ten were in the front little bored as every one were tired after a two hours cycle journey.harinath popularly known for his pointed nose is geeky, helping, always the one to be ridiculed in the group, liked by all and often spotted among groups of girls .in addition to it hari honed excellent cycling skills since twelth standard.he never knew to stop bicycle with his leg.his cycle lacked brakes.so he always made a screachy noise when he pulled the brakes to alert the people infront of him.
To get the time going i called in hari for a race.he was reluctant to join.later he accepted and started riding his bicycle fast.he was on a hercules thriller(i guess) and i was riding a tandem bicycle with my friend at the back.me driving a heavier cycle was lagging behind him in the race.he took advantage of this and rose his speed without remembering the fact that his cycles never had brakes...

he was speeding..i was behind him..

he was speeding..i was behind him..

he was speeding..i was behind him.

at a distance from us was a family of some eight people including a male and some seven females.they were walking on one corner of the road.the man was some forty to fifty years old was islamic which was evident from the black gowns worn by the women covered from head to toe surrounding him.they were walking slowly..

he was speeding..i was behind him

he was speeding..i was behind him

we neared the family ..as hari was about to cross the family ,the old man sensed something fast coming towards him and out of reflex he moved to other side of the road.

now the old man was in the path of hari..hari at the last moment didnt know what to do..his cycle had neither the brakes nor the bell .hari who should have stopped the cycle by placing the feet against the floor resisting the movement of the cycle was now on the top of the cycle standing on his peddle making the screechy noise he used to make while trying to stop the cycle which added to the nerve of the old man who remained unmoved(he imagined standing on a the peddle would stop the cycle..but not)..the cycle continued to move with the same speed and BAM!!! it knocked the old man down and the cycle fell on him ..in addition to the cycle ,hari toppled and fell over the old man only to sandwich him to the floor..

i was behind..hari was knocked out.

i got down from my bicycle to help hari and the old man to get on their feet.luckily no one had any serious damages except for the fact that the old man was limping on his feet..we were then invovled in negotiations with old mans family as mistakes were on both sides.the old man shouldn't have shifted side without looking back..later it was settled..we then returned our cycles and were buying water bottles from the canteen..then we heard some noises behind us..it was the other female members of the old mans family excluding the seven who were beside him during the epic clash were chasing us shouting out words..they were there to redo the negotiations..they were there shouting irrational statements..they never understood what happened there..nor were they cared about the old mans health..if they were really cared about his health they would have taken him to the hospital or taken him to home instead of fighting with us..instead they were just fighing with us.we even offered him medical aids..still they were only to build up the fight.there was no use figting with irrational people..so we slipped out of the place.may not be a happy ending..but in friends group like us nothing could end that sad..we were on our way back to college discussing about the events rather in a hilarious way.as the fight recurred twice ,hari feared all those people wearing black gowns on our way to the college thinking them to be a part of that group.for a group of people with such a weird experience we were in our peak of our moods and we also attended the cultural night that evening after weary day.!!

imagination:
the next day morning twenty guys of their family each looking well built double triple the size of hari came to college and they spoted us siting under a tree
villain:come with us
us:where
villain:we want to talk with you people

we sensed the context of the word talk.

I love it!I do it! - passion.
You can do it!I can do it!-competitiveness.
You did it.i'll also have to do it!-peer pressure.

Peer pressure is imaginary feeling of being pressed against the floor by your successful peers who are top on the ladder caused by the thought of being on par with your friends group no matter in what discipline they achieve ensued by stress and low self esteem. Most of us,almost all except those rare real monks out there experience the effect peer pressure in their daily lives. Most people be hypocrites to themselves dissembling this effect by the words passion and competition. This is where the problem starts.Peer pressure not necessarily leads to disaster..It has its own plus and minus. Its a plus when you join a group of geeks where you fight with them to get equal marks. In companies peer pressure is often a tool used to get work done.Exalting one from a group of ten for their work might induce all the other nine to work.excellent tool to drain ppl.(now this is competition)and on the other hand when you being a geek join a set of toss pot you will become one(peer pressure).

Teen peer pressure(PP) often a result of grade sheet(when our friend gets .01 higher GPA in the end semesters), love(where ppl are indirectly forced to have girl friends when their friend has one and try all tricks to get a girl friend and when all the efforts go vain they end up accepting any girl that comes their way later only to get the relation broken down and viceversa in girls),internships(when one of the friends gets an internship out of the whole group which had applied which leads to a unwanted low feeling-self experienced), accessories(for instance, when one of a your swanky mates have a hi five dress, costume, jewellery, gadget, or motor bike you will end up torturing your parents who already work their ass off to give you decent accessories and good education ) and fame(where one might be funny one and liked by all ppl and a friend of him trying all stuff to impress girls and most often gets the name "lame guy."please take this info..trying too much won't help in this discipline..only being yourself can fetch you the name "cool guy").i know people who join all entrance exam coaching classes just because their friends have joined it end up excelling in none..PP will never let you be single minded. You will start thinking what your friend does rather than what you want to do.

Parental PP-In addition to all the pressures we lay on ourselves our parents add another 1000 ATM pressure on our back only to get it broken not for flexing it. Just because they want to sound cool in their peer group by saying"my boy goes to singing and dancing classes","my girl gets a 9.5 GPA","my grandson is a grand master in chess" ,they force us to all classes on earth singing, dancing, skating, music, abacus, other languages ,later only to say"I joined you in all classes but you failed to shine in anything"(did we ask you??)

The only way out of this is to be clear of what one wants and to be resolute in not comparing oneself with your friends group.I know .This is more easy to say..But one can do it with few months practice..Whenever you get low marks, whenever your rejected ,whenever your being called the lame one for being yourself, whenever you don't get a job you wanted, whenever you didn't get a university you wanted, whenever u didn't get the girl you wanted, whenever you didn't excel in some art just say"I'm unique..ill prove myself in a better way in a better place" to yourself..in this way your being optimistic ,your not low and you break the concept of peer pressure.(might sound abstract.pls try..it will work.)

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14677544116590102176noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6622854008446604495.post-49564992729031066762011-10-16T23:17:00.000+05:302012-01-10T20:59:26.665+05:30men-dominators??or push overs??

Our society was once considered to be male dominated society and still prevalently considered so though not in all fields but in certain fields ..Is it really so??Is 'dominate' the right word for the context or should it be replaced by the word push over.????

The statement men and women are equal is absurd. There are disparities between them.they have their strengths and disadvantages with women having most weakness for the time being.but when it comes to converting their weakness into advantages women have an upper hand ..This is where men are made push overs .this can be cited with few examples I observe in daily life
1.conversation (true conversation..not made up)

girl1 to a boy: study hard..only then will u be married
girl2: every one has to work hard to get married to a nice person.
girl1: not in the case of women..we ll get married any how to nice ppl ..my father(another poor male) will take care.:)

another conversation between a girl and boy

girl:why did u shift to management and not ms??
boy:my path in biotech is obscure.i really dunno what to do
girl:yeah for boys biotech is a risk
boy:why alone for a boy..why not for a girl??
girl:because Ur going to depend on it for living..ill marry a rich person and settle and biotech wont be a risk for us girls.:)

Only then I got the reason behind the 3:1 ratio of girls to boys in our class.Girls are really clear.Men back in history who restricted studying and leading the family to men never foresaw these things to happen to the 21st century men.The disadvantage of being a part of patriarch society was now converted into an added advantage by women.

2.Reservations:-

women always consider themselves equal to men but not in all things.they consider them weaker than men in things like standing in the bus where they have reservation of a whole side in a bus where there are only two seats reserved for physically challenged and senior citizens.most often than not the senior citizens are deprived of their seats and the most sad part is that women end up sitting even on men's side(not reserved..but supposed to be men's side) converting it into a 'ladies special(men ordinary)'bus.running back time, women weren't allowed to sit in front of men..but now its the other way around though the reason cited is their weakness..

next comes the political reservation..women were given 33% reservation.we men cannot be complacent with the rest 67% as its general quota and not reserved for men.33% reservation for women considering them the weaker sex as far as politics is concerned might not sound alarming but a time might come when women gain equal political powers and this 33% would be their weapon to dethrone men from politics.:):)

3.Last but not the least-the main reason for men being push over are certain flirting men who give into all the demands made by women..for example:our college male faculties who tend to show a soft corner towards women.:)

Commonality in all the above three cases is the weapon women use"their weakness".We good hearted men who help them overcome their weakness are made push overs and they women become the parasite in the relationship...Unlike the noble men of the past who dug the grave for the future men by fighting for women rights there wont be any women fighting for male rights.. We should only do for ourselves.

why should male prove their superiority by working hard ,earning, and being the head of family.??why cant we be like male lions and let women do the work..??think think...!!:)this is no bad time to start being like lions...so men!! ..be strong..be defiant to all tantalizing traps of women.long live male power!!!!

PS:this is no offence to women.:):)

What are assessments?
Assessments are a set of rituals solemnized by the faculties of a college which happens for a period of one or two weeks every month to test one's patience in attending the classes they take ,ones ability to steno graph(jot down points they say in lightning speed),one's ability to lift weights(relating to size of the books),ones ability to be defiant to sleep(the previous night),one's ability to memorize all the thousand evanescent structures ,formulas, loops, protocols, and cycles (most often than not our memory fails us when it comes to memorizing structures and formulas), one's ability to compete with others to borrow the last available book in the library and last but not the least , ones ability to write gibberish in certain subjects where answers would be two pages and its message not more than a line.

pre-assessment week:-

"I should start preparing at least today."
these are the watch words of engineering and student fraternity everyday they get up from the bed after a lazy day which would have been spent by talking with friends, watching a match, watching a sitcom, reading a book, roaming on the streets, sleeping, texting, face booking, talking on the phone for hours together and all other non academic works. This is the week when our mates will be rushing to the library searching for books and borrow them before others grab it and the copy place will see a never before seen sales hike during this week where students will be begging for their books to be copied first and the entire scenario will resemble a market with students coming out of the copy place wet with sweat..With all the goals set for the day and all materials for preparation ready, the day ends by the following words
"I should start at least tomorrow".
Overcoming all attractive distractions they sit to study and with limited preparations they wobble into assessment week with an intention of super ceding the low marks they got in the previous test cycle.

assessment week:-

A week during which the activity levels in face book reach unprecedented heights with many of them posting the status of how much they have read and the face book chat groups serve as the class room where doubts are cleared. Demand for people who have already finished preparation all of a sudden increases as they would be surrounded by people who ask to teach them what they have read in the books with all these engineering book speaking Greek and Latin literally and following them especially on the last day is an daunting task.To cut it short, its a week of sleepless nights, midnight coffee, late night calls, always active social networks and chat rooms ,with students slogging over a 5 kg book throughout the night and get into the exam hall looking dull, unshaven, with dilated eyes ,sleep deprived like well dressed zombies, where they are made to sit with a one metre spacing with three invigilators in a hall not giving a least chance to copy. After all the hard tasks they are put into shouldn't the students be given this advantage of siting next to each other.cruel world!!And after all the barriers build by the faculties certain students go breaking the walls and manage to copy !!

post assessment :

On the last day of the assessment after the last test, the class would experience a mixed emotion with few bright faces indicating their good run in the test cycle and few dull faces (reason known). And there are always certain people who all wear a fake smile even though they dint perform well as if they never care but their hearts feeling the heat could be felt if observed carefully.
The most hard phase of the post assessment period is when the professors give out the answer sheets and things get worse when our parents find the answer sheets lying inside an old book .

After all the test cycles ,the practicals and end semester come hopping in to further test the resistivity of the students..exams get over ---->grades sheets come.

then asks a student :how important are these assessments and GPA in our Career ? how much GPA does one require to get a placement in good university sir??
faculty: all these assessments and GPA don't play a major role..its your projects, extensive research ideas, and several competitive exams such as GRE ,GMAT,IELTS,TOEFEL ,CAT, GATE which influence your career and you need interpersonal skills ,aptitude and leadership and extra curricular to fetch you a job.
student:them why the heck are these assessments and exams kept if they are not gonna matter much?????????then why don't you teach us what is needed rather than some vague stuff which is not gonna help us??

pls ppl..set our path right!!not with unwanted garbage..engineers are not super humanoid computers who can handle multiple tasks of doing good at college,at competitive exams, and at extra curriculum.

Rahul Dravid popularly known as "the wall of indian cricket" and as 'jammie' by his friends was born in a upper middle class family in bangalore on 11th january , 1973 in indore.he later moved on to bangalore where his cricketing life began. He started playing cricket at the age of 12 years. his performance in the interschool tournaments fetched him a place in the duleep trophy. And he went to play the Ranjit trophy along with Kumble and Srinath who were then his ranji trophy mates. He played well at all levels and made his debut in the Indian National Team in a match against Srilanka at Singapore as a replacement for Vinod Kambli.Though it was not the best starts one would expect for,he thrived hard to establish his name permannetly in the Indian team and he succeeded in doing it.Dravid was once considered a liability in one day format of the game.Later he went on to master that domain bringing in many victories to the nation by his single handed efforts.According to cricket fraternity , a good cricketer is one who brings in victories rather than stacking up records.Dravid was one such kind.( even though Tendulkar holds a insurmountable batting record he is one of the above kind)
Dravid is one of the top ranked batsman in India. Made his test debut at Lords-June 1996.Dravid led India from October 2005 to September 2009.He averages over 50 in test cricket and averages 39.53 in ODI cricket. He is in top 10 test batsmen list for the highest number of centuries.Dravid was once icc's test player of the year and icc's player for the year .Dravid was a team player which is evident from his partnerships of 331 with Sachin against Newzealand and another 300 odd runs with Souvrav Ganguly.his highest score in test being 270 and in ODIs is 153.In addition to all these dravids has led us to some epic victories.one would be the India's chase of 326 .He is one player who has saved us lots of test matches by his sound technic and temperament. I personally feel that dravid ,kallis and tendulkar are the most technically sound players .They are an archetype of batting..Inzamam once quoted "give me a player like Dravid,Ill make pakistan number one.". Such was his reputation during his times.

Dravid led india during 2005-2007.After an early world cup exit he quit his captaincy. And 2007 was not Dravid's year. he lost form and eventually lost his place in ODI side never to get it back again. From then he made only rare appearances in ODIs and was only a test player. After India's disastrous performance aginst England in recent series Dravid was called back to ODI squad..This was when he announced his retirement from ODIs.

Though Dravid ,Laxman,Tendulkar, and Dada were equally good players in their times I personally feel dravid was always eclipsed by sachin and Dada.I wonder why!neither sachin nor ganguly could be blamed..!I seriously feel that dravid was not given the respect he is supposed to have got.even when he retired form ODI he dint recieve a standing ovation.after all 15 years of hard work doesnt he deserve an standing ovation!!
